2027: Akwanga North APC backs Tinubu, Sule, Umaru, and Ven-Bawa

The critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwanga North State Constituency, Nasarawa State, have reached a consensus to formally endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and Governor Abdullahi Sule for the Senate seat in 2027.
This endorsement signals a unified political support within the APC at the local level, aligning with the party’s ambitions for leadership continuity in both the presidency and the Senate from Nasarawa State. It reflects the stakeholders’ confidence in both leaders’ performance and their political vision going forward into the 2027 election cycle.
They have also agreed to endorse Hon. Dr. Jeremiah Umaru, member representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency and Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa representative of Akwanga North at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly over their purposeful and quality representations.
Hon. Mohammed B. Sameel, the Convener/Coordinator of APC Stakeholders of the area made this known while reading the stakeholders resolutions during it meeting in Andaha, Akwanga LGA today.
Sameel, a former Commissioner One, SUBEB said that President Tinubu, Gov. Sule, Rep. Umaru and Hon. Ven-Bawa have done well in their respective offices, hence the need of the stakeholders decision to formally endorse them soon for 2027 elections.
He said that the meeting among other things was aimed at uniting the members of the party in Akwanga North Constituency ahead of 2027 election.
“We are also here to discuss and step down what has transpired during the Akwanga LGA and Nasarawa North Zonal APC meeting which endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second term and Gov Abdullahi Sule for Senate come 2027.
“We the stakeholders of Akwanga North Constituency have agreed to formally endorse President Tinubu, Gov. Sule, Reps JJ Umaru and Hon Ven-Bawa for second term soon.
“Our decision is based on President Tinubu, Gov. Sule, Reps Umaru and Hon. Bawa laudable achievements in their respective offices.
He called on the stakeholders and members of the party in the constituency to continue to remain united for the victory of the party beyond 2027.
He assured of their readiness to continue to mobilise support for Tinubu, Gov.Sule, Reps Umaru and Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa to succeed.
Also speaking, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development called on the people of the constituency to support President Tinubu, Gov. Sule, Reps Umaru and Hon Ven-Bawa to succeed.
According to him, President Tinubu is doing well, Gov. Sule is also doing well. Reps JJ Umaru is doing well and Hon. Ven-Bawa is equally doing well and changing the narrative.
“J J Umaru has sponsored so many bills and his contributions are tremendous in the National Assembly.
“Hon Larry Ven-Bawa has done well and still doing well. Akwanga North Constituency never had it so good like this time. Hon. Ven-Bawa is doing great things” he said.
He called on the people of the constituency to continue to support them and the Chairman of Akwanga LGA, Hon. Safiyanu Isah Andaha to succeed.
“As critical stakeholders, we are already united and working together.
“The Chairman of Akwanga LGA is working, we will continue to give him support to succeed” he added.
Hon. Kwanta appreciated the people for supporting him and the government of Gov. Sule to succeed.
On their parts, Hon. Safiyanu Isah Andaha, the Chairman Akwanga LGA, represented by Hon. Monday Magaji, Speaker Akwanga Local Government Legislative Council, Mrs Elsie Monde, Special Adviser to Gov. Sule among others spoke extensively in favour of the submission made by Hon. Sameel.
They called on the stakeholders of the constituency to remain united and support government policies and programmes to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
