Nasarawa Speaker to declare for reps after endorsement by his community

…..Pledges Gov Sule’s will construct Garaku/Bassa road

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has appreciated the individuals and groups who have called on him to contest for the House of Representatives seat of Keffi/Kokona/Karu federal constituency in the 2027 elections.

Global Times Nigeria reports the call for Speaker Jatau to contest comes from his constituents and various groups who recognize his leadership qualities and achievements in his current role. His supporters and community leaders believe that he can bring more federal government presence and development to the constituency if elected to the National Assembly.

He said that the calls by the people have proved that he is doing well as Speaker and member representing Kokona West constituency.

The Speaker stated this while playing host to Hon. Danladi Jatau Gida Gida Support Group from his immediate community Bassa District, Kokona LGA today in his office in Lafia.

Dr. Jatau (APC) said that he would answer the calls of the people at the appropriate time and as soon as the process for the election as stipulated by law begins thus appreciating the people for calling on him to vie for Keffi/Kokona/Karu federal constituency seat come 2027.

” I want to appreciate you for the visit and for calling on me to contest for the position of House of Representatives of Keffi/Kokona/Karu federal constituency come 2027.

” I want to assure you that I will answer your calls at an appropriate time but I want to tell you that service to humanity is my concern right from childhood.

” I also want to assure you that I will continue to do my best for you and other people of our constituency in order to improve on your standard of living” he said.

The Speaker assured them that Gov. Sule would construct Garaku/ Bassa road in order to boost agricultural and socio-economic activities of the people of the area.

” By the Special Grace of God, His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule will construct Bassa road as the road is dilapidated and is affecting the activities of our people negatively.

” His Excellency has passion for development and has love for us and other people of the state.

” Let’s us continue to pray and support His Excellency to succeed,” he said.

The Speaker also urged them and other people of the state to continue to live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.

“Let continue to protect the interest of the government, let continue to support the government of the day”

“With the experience I have gathered along the line, by God’s grace if I am elected to the the Green Chamber of the National Assembly I will do more for the people, let continue to pray and do the needful because leadership comes from God Almighty and he will do it for us by his grace ” Speaker Jatau said.

Earlier, Mr Ayuba Dodo, the Chairman of the Group and Ruth Adigizi representative of the Women voice said that the visit was to identify with the Speaker over his good leadership style.

They highlighted the achievements of the Speaker to include employment, empowerment, education, agriculture, among others.

They called on the Speaker to contest for House of Representatives seat of Keffi/Kokona/Karu federal constituency come 2027.

They assured him of their readiness to mobilise support for him across the three LGAs to come out victorious come 2027.

They also assured the Speaker of their loyalty and support to succeed as they endorsed him as their sole candidate for the House of Representatives.

They, however, appealed to Gov. Sule to construct Garaku/Bassa road to ease their plight and enhance economic and agricultural activities of the people of the area.

 

Dr. Jatau, who is serving his third term in the State Assembly as Speaker, has been acknowledged for his grassroots leadership and impactful projects in his constituency and the state at large
