Comr Umar Faruk Usman, the National Director of Welfare for the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), has praised Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu for initiating a scholarship and empowerment program benefiting 300  students and youth constituents across Kogi local government area.

Faruk Usman congratulated Engr. Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, for his impactful initiative of awarding scholarships to 300 tertiary institution students across Kogi’s three local government zones: Zone A, Zone B, and Zone C.

The donations was made in commemoration of his birthday held on Thursday in Gegu Beki, Zone C area of Kogi LG

The student leader described Bashir Gegu’s thoughtful gesture as a massive boost to the educational pursuits of the students and a testament to his commitment to empowering students in our community.
