Hon. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim Ph.D, the representative for Nasarawa Central Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has conducted a major empowerment event by distributing essential items valued at millions of naira.
The event featured 10 motorcycles, 200 bags of rice for Christmas celebrations, 100 wrappers for Christian widows, 10 solar street lights, and N20,000 scholarship grants each to 200 tertiary students from the constituency.
The event Held at the Nasarawa Local Government Council Secretariat on Saturday, the distribution drew commendations from APC stakeholders, including the state party chairman’s representative and the local government chairman, who praised her as an asset to the party and a record-breaker compared to predecessors.
It was reported that the items distributed by the only female lawmaker in Nasarawa State include 10 motorcycles, 10 solar street lights, 200 bags of rice for Christmas celebration and 100 wrappers to Christian widows as well as disbursement of twenty thousand naira scholarship grant to each of two hundred students of tertiary institutions drawn from Nasarawa Central constituency.
The intervention christened: “Talafin Tafisu,” according to the sponsor Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim APC, was the Ninth since her assumption of office, aimed at fulfilling her campaign promises in providing seccour and bringing relief to her constituents irrespective of their political leaning or faith.
Dr. Danyaro and Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs said the successes recorded would not have been possible without the support of her people and the peaceful atmosphere created by the Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s government, stressing the need for the people not to relent in supporting his government.
The only female lawmaker at the State House of Assembly promised to use her remaining years at the hallowed chamber not only to contribute to enactment of people’s oriented laws, but step up efforts in providing clean water, health and educational facilities to her people, as well as champion the course of women in the society.
The State chairman of APC, Dr Aliyu Bello represented by the Zonal Chairman of the party in Nasarawa West, Isaiah Koki Agah and the Chairman of Nasarawa local government council Hon. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan who spoke through his Legislative Liaison Officer Adamu Ahmed Adamu, commended Hajarat Danyaro for making the APC proud with her sterling representation and philanthropic efforts.
Other APC stakeholders in the area including former Chairman of Nasarawa local government council, Barrister Sani Bawa, Dr. Musa Doshiro and Safiya Aliyu, hailed Danyaro for surpassing the records achieved by her predecessors, saying her effective representation is a clear testament that women are more reliable and can be trusted with power.
Some of the beneficiaries of the gesture Babangida Laminga, Kasuwa Gambo Yadoga and Ukpo Suleiman Kokpa, appreciated their representative for living up to her responsibility and pledged to support her beyond 2027.
