Hon Dahiru Isyaka (Baba Vuga) Special Assistant Rural Development to the Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has said the recent chaotic protest by Okada riders in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital, was no spontaneous outcry from the masses, rather It was a sinister plot hatched by mischief-makers desperate to shatter the peace and progress under Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration.

The Governor aide noted that Nasarawa has been a beacon of stability and development. But outsiders and internal saboteurs are hell-bent on importing chaos.

According to Baba Vuga, “These manipulators are using innocent, vulnerable riders as pawns, dodging lawful channels for dialogue. Some Okada operators’ outright rejection of the E-Ticket policy, a simple levy to boost state revenue. “
“They ride daily on government-built roads, bridges, streetlights, water, and power, yet cry foul over a tiny contribution to keep it all going.”
“Worse still, aggrieved Okada leaders, sidelined by reforms hiring consultants for transparent E-Ticket collections, are fanning the embers.”
“No longer able to milk old loopholes, they’ve mobilized underground, turning riders into chaos agents.”
Protesters daringly targeted NAYEA office, Lafia Local Government Secretariat, and even Government House, a blatant assault on public order. Such lawlessness has no place in our society.
He blamed failed politicians, licking wounds from electoral defeats, lurk in the shadows, tarnishing NAYEA and the state government. This unholy pact endangers governance and Nasarawa’s hard-won peace.
Kudos to Nasarawa State Government, Lafia LGA, NAYEA, and security forces for their professional clampdown.
They nipped the unrest in the bud, averting a potential crisis.Taxation isn’t tyranny, it’s patriotism fueling progress.
Let’s shun sabotage, embrace law, and back authority.
Nasarawa won’t be a playground for manipulators. Baba Buga wrote.
