Delta Govt Urges State Candidates to Join NPF, PSC Police Constables Screening Exercise Starting March 9
The Delta State Government has called on all candidates of Delta State origin who successfully submitted online applications for the ongoing nationwide recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables to participate in the physical and credential screening exercise.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Dr. Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, urged all candidates to visit the official recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to verify their application status and print essential documents.
He said the exercise, organized by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, is scheduled to run from March 9 to April 18, 2026, adding that candidates must present their Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credential Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form at the assigned screening venue on the date and time indicated on their Invitation Slip.
Dr. Oghenesivbe stressed that candidates must also bring their Invitation Slip with assigned table, original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or NIMC-issued card, O’ Level certificate (GCE/SSCE), birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of state or local government of origin. Specialist applicants are required to present relevant trade test or professional certificates.

He added that all credentials should be neatly arranged in two white flat files, each with recent passport photographs attached. Candidates are expected to appear at their screening centres wearing white T-shirts, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings.
According to the Bureau Chief, the recruitment exercise aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s job and wealth creation agenda under the MORE Initiative.
The state government encouraged Delta candidates to seize the opportunity, follow all instructions, conduct themselves responsibly, and wished all applicants success as they pursue a career serving the nation in the Nigeria Police Force.
