Insecurity: Kuje Chairman -elect pledges partnership with NSCDC

The newly elected Chairman of Kuje Area Council of the FCT Hon Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo has pledged to partner with the Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on assumption of his administration in office in order to tackle insecurities and other crimes across the council.
Shekwolo, made the pledge when he received the FCT Commandant of the NSCDC Dr Olusola Odumodu, who paid him a congratulatory visit on Wednesday, over his victory during the February 21, 2026 chairmanship election in the council.
He said his administration will prioritize security in order to ensure lives and property of every residents of the council are protected.
He said a society can only witness peace and rapid development when the lives and property of its citizens are secured, saying his administration shall come up with a blue print on issue of security.
“Because it is when our society and communities are secured that is when we can be able to even pray and engage in socio economic activities wherever we reside,”he said.
The chairman -elect while appreciating the NSCDC commandant for paying him a congratulatory visit, also commended corps for their efforts in protecting of lives and property especially public utilities.
Earlier, the FCT Commandant of the NSCDC Dr Olusola Odumodu, said he decided to lead a delegation among his officers to come and congratulate him over his victory during the just concluded Chairmanship election in the area.
He, therefore, assured the chairman -elect of the corps readiness to ensure a synergy with the council administration in protection of lives and property of entire residents of the council.
