A leading aspirant for the Kogi West Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Tajudeen Bisimillahi, has received royal blessings and strong endorsements from traditional rulers and constituents in his ancestral home of Ejuku, as part of ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During a visit to the community, Bisimillahi paid homage to the Elejuku of Ejuku Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Funsho Ayeni, where he sought royal blessings for his senatorial ambition.

The visit, which drew a large turnout of residents, was marked by expressions of support, particularly from women in the community who reaffirmed their commitment to his political aspirations.

Speaking during the engagement, the APC hopeful expressed profound appreciation to the people of Ejuku for their unwavering support, noting that their prayers, encouragement, and guidance have remained instrumental in shaping his political journey.

He said, “Returning home to seek the blessings of my people is not only symbolic but deeply significant. Their support gives me strength and reinforces my resolve to serve with dedication and integrity.”

Bisimillahi, who had earlier purchased his interest and nomination forms also extended his consultations to Mopamuro Local Government Area, where he visited the Elulu of Mopa and Chairman of the Mopamuro Local Government Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun.

At the palace, Oba Ibeun offered prayers for the aspirant and expressed confidence in his leadership potential. In a symbolic gesture, the monarch directed Oba Clarence Olafemi—a former Speaker and Acting Governor of Kogi State, as well as a prominent founding member of the APC in the state—to offer prayers and confer royal blessings on Bisimillahi.

The visits form part of Bisimillahi’s broader grassroots engagement strategy aimed at consolidating support across Kogi West as political activities gradually build up toward the 2027 elections.
