A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former House of Representatives Aspirant for Nasaraw/Toto Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Aibro, also known as Baraden Ara, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful as they mark the 2026 Eid-el-Adha celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on Tuesday to commemorate the sacred Day of Arafah and the forthcoming Eid-ul-Adha festivities, the APC stalwart urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love, peace, and devotion to Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
Hon. Aibro said the season presents another opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Islam, strengthen their faith, and promote peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
According to him, Eid-el-Adha remains one of the most significant celebrations in Islam, symbolizing total submission to the will of Allah and the spirit of sacrifice for the greater good of humanity.
“We witness the blessed Day of Arafah and approach the joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Adha with gratitude to Almighty Allah for the gift of life and His abundant mercies upon us,” he stated.
The APC chieftain prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the prayers, fasting, sacrifices, and acts of worship observed during the holy period, while also seeking divine mercy, forgiveness, peace, and blessings for families and the nation at large.
He further prayed for unity, prosperity, good health, and protection from hardship across the country, expressing hope that the festive season would deepen love, tolerance, and harmony among Nigerians.
“I pray that Allah grants every home happiness, good health, prosperity, unity, and protection from every hardship. May this season strengthen our faith, increase our love for one another, and bring lasting peace to our communities and the world at large,” he added.
Hon. Aibro also called on political leaders, community stakeholders, and citizens to use the occasion to pray for sustained peace, economic stability, and progress in Nasarawa State and the country as a whole.
He wished Muslims in Nigeria and across the world a peaceful and memorable Eid celebration.
“Eid Mubarak in advance to all Muslims across the world,” the statement concluded.
His statement:
As we witness the blessed Day of Arafah and approach the joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Adha, I, Baraden Ara, extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt prayers to the entire Muslim Ummah.
May Allah (SWT) accept our prayers, fasting, sacrifices, and all acts of worship during these sacred days. May He shower His endless mercy, forgiveness, peace, and blessings upon us, our families, and our dear nation.
