Delta Government Urges Youths To Apply For Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme

The Delta State Government has called on qualified young graduates of Delta origin to take advantage of the ongoing online application for the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), a fully funded post-NYSC job placement initiative designed to provide practical workplace experience and career development opportunities for Nigerian youths.

In a special announcement issued by the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Governor’s Office, Asaba., the programme was described as a strategic intervention aimed at connecting talented young graduates with meaningful employment opportunities across different sectors of the economy.

The government explained that successful applicants under the programme would receive a monthly stipend of N150,000 alongside a one-year professional work placement in reputable organisations within the public and private sectors.

According to the statement, the initiative is a landmark programme of the Federal Government of Nigeria supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU), with a target of creating employment opportunities for about 20,000 young graduates annually nationwide.

The state government noted that the initiative would greatly benefit Delta youths by exposing them to practical industry experience, mentorship opportunities, employability training and career advancement platforms.

It added that participants would also enjoy professional guidance from experienced experts and industry leaders, as well as improved chances of securing long-term employment after the completion of the programme.

“The programme is specifically designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace experience, helping young graduates build confidence, competence and professional capacity,” the statement noted.

The government further stated that interested applicants must be Nigerian citizens of Delta State origin and possess either a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND).

Applicants are also required to have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme or possess a valid exemption certificate, while only unemployed graduates willing to gain workplace experience and within the approved age bracket are eligible to apply.

Qualified candidates were advised to submit their applications strictly through the official programme website at njfp.ng.

The government stressed that the application process is completely free and warned applicants against making payments to any individual or organisation during the process.

For further enquiries, interested persons were directed to contact the Chief Job Creation Officer, Delta State Bureau for Wealth and Job Creation through the telephone lines 09120423729 and 09120423947.
