APC Kokori Ward 06 Elects New Executives, Steps Up 2027 Mobilisation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kokori Ward 06, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, on Thursday concluded its ward congress with the election of executives across the ward’s 27 polling units, reinforcing its organisational structure and setting the tone for preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The congress, supervised by former state and federal lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese, was attended by party leaders and stakeholders, who described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and credible.
The congress saw the reelection of the Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Olorogun (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, as Leader of APC Unit 13, one of the largest political units in Ethiope Federal Constituency, with about 1,200 registered voters recorded during the recent Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voter registration exercise.
Speaking after his reelection, Oghenesivbe thanked members for renewing their confidence in his leadership and pledged to strengthen the unit through sustained voter engagement and effective mobilisation.
He urged the newly elected executives to commence early preparations for the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that the performance of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in Delta State and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the national level had positioned the APC strongly for the next electoral cycle.
According to him, ongoing infrastructure and development projects across Kokori Ward 06, Ethiope East Local Government Area and other parts of Delta State have further enhanced the party’s appeal among the electorate.
Oghenesivbe also announced that the second phase of the unit’s monthly ₦500,000 empowerment programme would commence at its August meeting. He directed members to begin the “Know Your Voters” initiative, a structured door-to-door engagement campaign aimed at strengthening relationships with registered voters ahead of the 2027 polls.
He commended Emeyese for his leadership and for ensuring the successful conduct of what he described as a peaceful, free and credible congress.
Also speaking, APC chieftain and former House of Representatives aspirant, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, urged the newly elected Unit 13 executives to work in unity and sustain the momentum generated by the congress. He expressed confidence that the unit would maximise its electoral strength in support of the APC during the 2027 general elections.
Congratulating Oghenesivbe on his reelection, Emonefe, who is also a member of Unit 13, described him as a committed and result-driven leader whose service in government has attracted development to Kokori. He urged members to rally behind the unit leadership to secure a decisive victory for APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Earlier, delegates elected executives for all 27 polling units and adopted resolutions aimed at strengthening party cohesion, expanding membership and deepening political engagement across the ward as part of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The congress attracted several party leaders, including former DESOPADEC Chairman, Sir Bernard Agbomiyenri; APC Ward 06 Chairman, Pastor Sunday Agbogun; Ward Secretary, Chief Johnson Egburhe; Women Leader, Mrs. Florence Oki; Youth Leader, Mr. Onovughe Onoriode; and councillors representing Kokori Wards 10 and 11, Hon. Ovigwe David and Hon. Oghoghorie Oghenevwede, among other stakeholders.
Elected officers and stakeholders at the congress expressed confidence in the party’s State and LGA leadership, and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the APC’s support base across Kokori Ward 06 ahead of the 2027 general elections.
