‘Youths Must Be at Centre of Nation-Building’ — Ojochegbe
The National Coordinator of the Alliance of North Central Youth (ANCY), Hon. Gabriel Joshua Ojochegbe, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for what he described as their commitment to building a stronger, prosperous and self-reliant Nigeria.
Ojochegbe said the vision of the Tinubu-Shettima administration goes beyond political leadership, arguing that the Federal Government is laying the foundation for economic growth, youth empowerment, infrastructure development and expanded opportunities for Nigerians.
The ANCY National Coordinator made the remarks while assessing the administration’s policies and its impact on national development and the Nigerian youth.
‘Nigeria Is Moving Towards a Better Future’
According to Ojochegbe, Nigeria is gradually moving towards a future where young people will have access to the skills, opportunities and platforms required to contribute meaningfully to the country’s economic and social development.
He said the youth must not merely be viewed as beneficiaries of government programmes but should be positioned as active participants in the nation’s transformation.
“Tinubu/Shettima are building the Nigeria of our dreams—a Nigeria where our youths can dream, acquire skills, create businesses and participate actively in the development of our nation,” Ojochegbe said.
ANCY Urges Youths to Support National Development
The youth leader called on Nigerian youths, particularly those in the North-Central region, to remain constructive, patriotic and committed to the progress and unity of the country.
He urged young Nigerians to take advantage of opportunities available through government policies and programmes while contributing their ideas and energy towards national development.
Ojochegbe also reaffirmed ANCY’s commitment to youth mobilisation, human-capital development and grassroots engagement across the North-Central region.
He said the organisation would continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting national unity, economic productivity, skills acquisition and opportunities for young Nigerians.

Ojochegbe stressed that the future of Nigeria depends largely on the ability of today’s leaders and young people to work together in building a more productive and prosperous country.
“Our Nigeria of tomorrow must be built today, and the youths must be at the centre of that process,” he added.
He described youth participation as critical to achieving sustainable national development, urging young Nigerians to remain hopeful and actively involved in initiatives capable of transforming their communities and the country at large.
