The All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State chapter, has expressed renewed confidence in the future of the state as it joins Deltans in celebrating 35 years of statehood.
The party, in a goodwill message signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, Esq., congratulated Deltans at home and in the diaspora on the anniversary.

State Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, JP, described the milestone as a celebration of Delta’s shared heritage, resilience and aspirations.
He said the anniversary should also remind citizens of the sacrifices and contributions of people who had served and contributed to the state’s development.
Arenyeka called on Deltans to strengthen unity and work collectively for peace, economic growth and sustainable development.
He said the state’s future depended on responsible leadership and the determination of its people to create opportunities for present and future generations.
The APC chairman urged citizens to support genuine development efforts under the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, with emphasis on the welfare of the people and sustainable development.
He expressed hope that Delta would continue to rise in greatness and distinction.
“May peace continue to reign across our communities, may the bonds of unity among our people grow stronger, and may Delta State continue to rise in greatness and distinction,” he said.
The Delta APC wished all Deltans a happy 35th anniversary and prayed for continued peace and prosperity in the state.
