The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his administration’s efforts in attracting investments and promoting development across the state.
Jatau gave the commendation in Lafia during an Independence Day interaction with journalists.
The Speaker said the governor had made contributions to several sectors of the state’s economy, particularly through efforts to attract investors into the mining industry.
He specifically mentioned lithium-related investments, which he said had created employment opportunities for young people and contributed to the state’s internally generated revenue.
“His Excellency, Engr. A.A. Sule has done well in almost all sectors of the economy. He has brought investors to the state, especially in the mining sector, lithium, which has created jobs for our youths and improved the state revenue,” Jatau said.
The Speaker also commended Sule for what he described as people-oriented policies and inclusive leadership.
Jatau further appreciated the governor for supporting the State House of Assembly and granting what he described as partial financial autonomy to the legislature.
“I want to appreciate His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for the necessary support he is giving to the House to succeed,” he said.
According to him, the relationship between the executive and legislative arms had contributed to the pace of development in Nasarawa State.

He stressed that the state could not achieve rapid development if the arms of government were constantly in conflict.
Jatau said the peaceful atmosphere among lawmakers and the interventions supporting the legislature were among the achievements he hoped would form part of his legacy in office.
The Speaker also used the occasion to call for sustained prayers and support for government and leaders at all levels.
