Abia 2023: “You have done well, and good to go with, Senator Adighije tells Ogah.”

Abia elder statesman and the Chairman, Governing Council and Pro-chancellor, Federal University of Lokoja, Kogi State, Senator Chris Adighije, on Sunday, poured encomiums on Dr Uche Sampson Ogah, for his exceptional leadership acumen, and the great strides recorded in the federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development since assumption of office as Minister of State.

He also lauded the uncommon and incomparable strides achieved by Ogah in private sector-driven business investments in the country and beyond, before his sojourn into the Nigeria politics.

Senator Adighije, who doubled as a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and former Abia Representative at Federal Revenue Mobilization Fiscal Commission (RMFC), made his feelings known, when he received in audience the Minister of State for Mines, Uche Sampson Ogah at his Umuahia residence, on Sunday.

Ogah was on the visit to Senator Adighije, as part of his ongoing consultation and talks with party leaders and critical stakeholders ahead of the forthcoming APC gubernatorial primaries, and as well as main general elections in 2023.

The Minister also used the medium to present to the Abia elder statesman, the APC Gubernatorial Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms recently obtained from the party’s national Secretriate in Abuja.

It was contained in a release by Chima Obiwuru, of media directorate of Abia Rejoice Movement, the political structure of the minister cum governorship hopeful.

The release partly stated, “Dr. Ogah came to consult and hold talks with his long time friend and acolyte, Senator Adighije, who recollected and spoke glowingly about Dr. Ogah’s exploits as a young man even as he expressed his immense pleasure at Dr. Ogah’s achievements as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“In the course of their meeting, Dr. Ogah, presented his gubernatorial expression of interest and nomination forms to the distinguished senator, who called on God’s blessings to surround Dr. Ogah in his quest to govern Abia State and proclaimed to all present that the name, person and image of Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah is a highly cherished and valuable brand which will be utterly beneficial to the growth of Abia citizenry and advancement of the course of the destiny of Abia State as well”.

AFRIPOST recalls that the Nigerian Minister of State, Uche Ogah, had in April announced his intention to vie for the office of the Governor of Abia State in the upcoming general elections in Abia State in 2023.

While addressing mammoth crowd of APC members and supporters across the seventeen local Government Area of Abia State, during his formal declaration ceremony held at Abia Party Secretriate, Azikwe road Umuahia, the Abia capital, the governorship Aspirant, Uche Ogah pointed out that he eould focus on the transformation of the economy of the state with creation job for Abia people through private sector driven initiatives if supported to emerge as next Governor of the State come 2023.

His words, “Nigeria is blessed with many natural resources that if we harness them less emphasis will be placed in the oil sector and our country will not play a second fiddle in the world.

“I will bring my experience in the private and public sector to bring valuable changes in lives of Abia people.

“My adminstration will be anochered on faith in God and social transformation in governance which will transform the economic, agricultural, educational, security and health sector of the state.

“I want to reinvent the dreams of our founding fathers of Abia where the rule of law shall thrive and we will reintroduce the agricultural revolution of the former Eastner region that made the economy of that region one of the fastest growing economy in world”.
