A member of the house of representative for Abuja south federal constituency, Representatives Abuja South, Hon Hassan Usman Sokodabo, has embarked on a two days free medical treatment to over 700 less privileged residents of Kuchiyako in Kuje area council of the FCT.
Sokodabo, while speaking during the excercise on Wednesday, said the two days free medical treatment was aimed at bringing succour to the less privileged residents in the society who are financially that are financially incapacitated.
He noted that many residents have been suffering from different kind of sickness in silent without having money to go to the hospital to treat themselves, which he said deemed it necessary to engaged the services of doctors to carry out free treatment to such patients.
According to him, over 20 medical personnel that comprised of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and lab technicians were engaged for the two days free medical service.
“And besides, the beneficiaries of the free medical treatment were carefully selected based on their health challenges irrespective of tribe, ethnic, religion or political affiliation, “he said.
Sokodabo, who is seeking to return for second term as house of representative member on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023 election, assured people of his constituency of more democratic dividends.
Also speaking, the chairman of Kuje chapters of the PDP, Alhaji Ismail Yenche, commended the house of representative member for the initiative, which he said was aimed at taking care of people who cannot afford to pay their bills despite their health challenges.
“Healthcare services is one of the top most priority of Hon Hassan Sokodabo which is why the member have within four years, embarked on free medical outreach for the third time to ensure affordable health conditions for the people of Abuja south, “he said.
