Ahmed Ododo wins Kogi APC Governorship Primaries

Ahead of the November 11 gubernatorial election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Ahmed Usman Ododo as the winner of Kogi governorship primary election held on Friday.

Ododo-a former Auditor General of Kogi State, who was reportedly endorsed by Governor, Yahaya Bello as his preferred successor, garnered 78,704 votes in the direct primary conducted by the ruling APC in all council wards of the State.

Prior to the exercise, Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief David Edward Onoja, Chief of Staff to Governor, Muhammed Jamiu Asuku along and other aspirants withdrew from the Governorship race ahead of the APC primary.

Chairman of the APC Governorship Primary Election Committee in Kogi State, Governor Mohammed Bello of Zamfara State conducted the exercise.
