Aisha Buhari lauds SDGs Over Health Interventions In Nigeria

Expressing deep satisfaction with activities and for keeping to goal 3 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, Nigeria’s first lady, Hajiya Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has commended the handlers of the program in Nigeria.

Mrs. Buhari dropped the commendation during the commissioning of the first Diabetes and Endocrine Centre on Thursday in University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada, named after Professor Felicia Anumah-built by the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs in collaboration with her office.

The wife of the President said her office is committed to the well-being of mothers and children particularly at this critical period of COVID, a global pandemic ravaging the globe.

“I am happy today that this project is now realizable and the first of its kind in Nigeria, it is built by a woman, named after a woman, and being commissioned by a woman.”

While saluting the courage of the SSA to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire on the timely completion of the project, eulogized her determination to provide quality health care through her interventions.

She assured the global body in Nigeria of adequate utilization of the new structure and its equipment while urging them to continue in this stride.

She appealed for quick action on the establishment of the center in the remaining geopolitical zones in Nigeria, to ease the treatment of the prevalent disease of Diabetes and Endocrine.
