Akabe Foundation Donates Cash to Widows in Toto LGA.

 

…..As Chairman of Toto LGC lauds Governor Sule’s effort in taming insecurity and attracting meaningful development to the area.

Chairman Toto Local Government Council, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has commended the Akabe Foundation for empowering 120 Widows in the local government area.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media and Communications to the Council’s Chairman, Yahaya Idris Toto, said Hon. Tashas expressed joy over the cash donation to the vulnerable widows across the Local government area.

The Dr. Akabe Foundation Empowerment Schemes, is founded by His Excellency the Deputy governor of Nasarawa state Dr. Emmanuel Akabe.

Hon. Tashas, used the occasion to eulogize the Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule and his Deputy, Dr. Akabe for taming insecurity, and the developmental stride so far recorded since they assumed office.

He noted with satisfaction the provision of infrastructural development and numerous appointments of indigines of Toto local government areas .

Tashas therefore appealed to the people of the area to reciprocate by voting massively for the All Progressives Congress so as to gain more dividends of democracy.

Presenting the cash donations to Widows, devoid of political affiliation, and religion, Dr Akabe said the idea of his kind gesture is to help and support the most vulnerable Widows as well as the less privileged.

Akabe urged the recipients to use the little money to engage in petty businesses to support their children, wards and other members of their families.

While advising the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the meagre resources for a turn around in their life fortune, Dr. Akabe urged the widows and the entire citizens of the local government area to support Governor Abdullahi Sule come 2023, as his achievements are visible and need to be sustained beyond 2023 for continuity.

Also speaking at the occasion, Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, Commissioner for Health and Dr. Gaza Executive Secretary Nasarawa state health insurance scheme and Alhaji Ahmed Shuaibu Adawari, appreciated the Deputy Governor for the kind gesture, calling all the good people of the local government to support APC led government in the country come 2023.

The Deputy Chairman of Toto LGC, Hon. Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis were among top government functionaries who grace the occasion.
