Alhaji Salisu ‘Basira’ Hails Team despite Losing To Lobi Stars in Lafia.
The CEO of FC Basira has taken his time to praise the never say die attitude of his players despite losing to Lobi Stars in Lafia.
The game which was played at the Government Science School Lafia Nasarawa State pitch in Lafia saw FC Basira draw the first blood in the 19th minutes after Usman Usman rose to nod home Sodiq Isiaka’s cross to hand Basira the lead.
Lobi Stars turned up the heat in the second half as Barnabas Imenger Jr was in hand to stab home Samuel Mathias cross in the 47th minutes before completing his brace 5 minutes from regulations time..
Speaking after the game, Alhaji Salisu Galadima popularly known as Atakin Basira took time to appreciate the CEO of Lobi Stars for honoring the match as he praised the display his wards.
“Let me us this medium to thank my big brother, Mr Dominic AIorfa for honoring our friendly”.
“Despite losing 2-1, my boys put on a big shift and with the level at which Lobi Stars operated today, I expected them to finish top 3 in the league proper because I believe Nasarawa United will end the season in either first or second then Lobi Stars followed”.
On what is next for his side, the seasoned administrator said his side’s is to perform very in the NLO and hopefully qualify to the Nigeria National League (NNL), the second tier of the Nigerian League.
