The son of a former governor of Kogi State, late Prince Abubakar Audu is one of the leading lights in the area of humanitarian services in Kogi State, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, the Founder and Grand Patron of Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation is one of the prominent citizens of Kogi State who has been rendering humanitarian services to the good people of the state in the area of provision of health facilities, provision of potable water, educational support, empowerment of youths, women and the indigents in the State, payment of WAEC fees, scholarship to undergraduates and post graduate students amongst other services aimed at improving the standard of living and complementing the efforts of the government.

It could be recalled that, some times ago, the young philanthropist and astute banker of international repute embarked on facts finding on the needs of the good people of Kogi State across the 21 LGAS and it was discovered that water-borne diseases are ravaging some communities in some local government areas of the state and without wasting much time, his Foundation constructed and commissioned 5 water projects across the state.

Namely Okene LGA, located at Nagazi community, Dekina LGA, is located at Emewe Ogane, Ofu LGA at Ogbonicha, Kabba Bunu LGA, Odolu community, and another local government area respectively.

While commissioning the projects, the traditional rulers of those communities visited gave their royal blessings and were present at the sites of the projects during the commissioning.

Prominent among them are the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, HRM, Alaji Ado Ibrahim, the Ohi of Adavi, the Obaro of Kabba, the Ejeh Dekina, the Olu of Odolu, and other traditional rulers across the state.

Having received accolades and awards of excellence from well-respected media organizations and socio-cultural associations, the young and dynamic banker and having been impressed by the previous job done, directed the Board of Directors of the Foundation ( Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation) to access the infrastructural development of Kogi State educational system to give it a facelift.

The findings reveal that some structures of primary and secondary schools are in dire need of adequate attention from the government and after diligent scrutinizing and recommendations, some selected primary and secondary schools across the state were marked for rehabilitation in some local government areas, namely:
Renovation of UBE secondary school at Ilai, Mopa Muro LGA of Kogi State, renovation of LGEA primary school at Emodu ( Ogugu), Olamaboro LGA, fencing and renovation of a unit of three blocks of classrooms at Mashaidi Islamic school, Idah, Idah LGA, renovation of community secondary school, Emiworo, Ajaokuta LGA of the state respectively.

So far, about 14 LGAs of Kogi State have benefited from Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation with one form of project or the other and efforts are on top gear to cover more areas.

In a statement to the press, the grand patron of the foundation, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu stated that the good people of Kogi State deserve the best and this is his way of giving back to the society and the mission of the Foundation has no political under tune, but to complement the efforts of government in providing social services to the people.

He used this opportunity to invite His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and his cabinet members to the commissioning of the projects on 16th and 27th June 2022.
The traditional rulers, youths, women groups, physically challenged persons, and members of the press are all invited to grace the official commissioning of the projects.
