Following the alleged news of defection orchestrated by the frustrated members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Toto local government, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Toto Local government Chapter of Nasarawa state, has reacted to the rumours making the round most especially on the Social Media platforms.

The party said it is not amused by the charade exhibited by a gang of some misguided and frustrated PDP elements who gathered at Ugya market calling the innocent, but hardworking traders decampees from APC.

The Chairman Toto local government council, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi, in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant, ( Media and Publicity) Yahaya Idris, said the so-called Ugya decamping was nothing, but a gathering of some frustrating elements who have lost politically at all fronts and their next option is to embark on self-destruction by dishing out lies.

Hon. Tashas said the PDP in its desperation, has decided to create drama at the market square to give the impression that all the traders present were their supporters.

The Council Chairman, therefore, advised the opposition to surrender and dump their perceived ambition as the people of the Toto local government area will join the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu bandwagon.

Tashas also appealed to the people of Toto LGA not to despair despite lapses associated with the last party primaries.

“With your support, the party will wax stronger so that we also be part of national victory come 2023 elections. I urge you all not to be left out in the formation of the new progressive Nigeria”. The Chairman said.
