Alleged Nepotism at COE Akwanga, you lied, Chairman Governing Council, Awotu tells Detractors
…..Says those who worked against Gov Sule’s reelection now seeking sympathy.
By Yahaya Idris.
The Fake news directed to Nasarawa State Government to investigate the chairman governing council College of Education Akwanga, Mr Ishaya Awotu was a figment of imagination of the unnamed and anonymous writter or writers, no doubt it was tagged “anonymous ”
For a genuine message or alarm, the fear of labeling or by lining by the writer wouldn’t have been an issue, since it is meant to write some wrongs.

Ordinarily, the activities of mischief makers in such environment cannot be overlooked, so as to put the record straight, if not so, it does not deserve any response because of lack of iota of truth.
It is the opposite to accuse the Chairman, governing council of been nepotic since his inception, as it is glaring in the running of the school by the Rector, without undue interferences either from the Chairman or the governing council of the institution, as being insinuated or impressed.
It is also impossible for the governing council and not even the Chairman to bend the academic rules based on appointments, since it is purely on merit or academic exercise, hence the Chairman had no hand in appointments and promotions, but only ratify such exercises through approvals.
Conversely, the issue of imposition of his ward as Head of Department (HOD) was unfounded, as it is an academic exercise with rules and procedures.
The faceless body parading itself as New Nassarawa is Possible are the same group that were against the reelection of the governor for a second term in office, having failed, now exploring other avenues to attract the governor’s attention without genuine reasons.
For an institution with a lay down procedures and it’s activities regulated by the National Council for Colleges of Education, NCCE, the allegations of fake results was too weighty to be taken seriously, among many others against the council.
Therefore, the issue of assault, insubordination, confrontation from any angle to attract favouritism does not arise.
It is an irony and blatant lies for anyone to contemplate or think of any form of favouritism by the current governing board , whose plan was to chart a new area of academic excellence, administrative wizardry inline with the mission and vision of the state government under Engr Sule.
It is high time that people with mischievous tendencies allow the governor to settle down to enable him consolidate on the achievements recorded across the state and by implications in the institution in the last four years.
The Governor and the state government is not unaware of the giant strides of the new council since the appointment as it has reposed confidence in them ,as representative of the state government towards achieving the set goals of training the would be teachers to improve education at all levels in Nassarawa state.

For those taken advantage of the porous media space to run down people with good intentions, particularly the governing board of Nassarawa state College of Education Akwanga, will be doing a great disservice to the state and children yet unborn.
Global Times Nigeria finding revealed that Awotu was a retired Director of Finance & Accounts at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity.
