It was torn and wailing as the residents of Iyenle Ugo village in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state, when the body of a 29years old, Thank God Onoja, who died on Monday at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti after a brief Illness was brought home.

The entire community was shaken to its marrow when the news of the death was broken, with many fainting, while tears flow down their cheeks uncontrollably.

In his reaction immediately after the interment of the body of the deceased, the President, Josh Foundation, Ambassador, Gabriel David Enemona Onoja, said that his 29-year-old late brother, Thank God Onoja died a fulfilled man because he is now permanently staying with his family he loved so much keeping watch over them.

He explained further that thank God loved humanity and his family so much that he once posted on his Facebook page, where expressed his wish to fight and defend them even at the expense of his life.

“He was a selfless person who is ready to protect any member of the family. I miss his fighting spirit and doggedness” Ambassador Gabriel Onoja said.

“We started the Enemona Foundation together we went through thick and thin to ensure that the foundation attain its mission and vision as such I will ensure that his portrait is placed in all our offices as a way of immortalizing him,” he said.

He urged youths in the community to emulate the life of struggle exhibited by the late ThankGod Onoja who died at 29 years and left an indelible mark that will be too difficult to erase.

David Onoja the father of the deceased who managed to speak in a melancholic voice, described his late son as a humble, intelligent and respectful person who loved and cared for the entire family and the community at large.

“I have never thought I will one day bury any of my children, but it has happened and there is nothing I can do either than to seek solace in God. He was an obedient son who was so dear to my heart because up till now I am yet to come to terms with his death” he said.

The younger sister of the deceased, Faith David Ojonugwa, who spoke amidst tears, said she will miss her late brother’s advice and counseling saying
“He taught me to always be truthful and stand by my words.

“He also taught me to always be committed to whatever I am doing that will benefit me in life and he continuously warned me not to disappoint the family as the only daughter of David Onoja’s family. We love him, but God loved him most” she stated.

Late Thank God Onoja was laid to rest at exactly 18.40 at the family compound Iyenle Ugo in Olamaboro local government area, Kogi East.
