The executive director of the Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment Organization (AOIYEO)/ FCT Youth Network, Commandant Isaac David, have been invited to attend the Niger Delta Youth Peace Summit, slated for September 30, 2022, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
Chief diplomat/chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Adama Ebimobowei Oritsewayeinmi, made this known to newsmen when he led his team on a courtesy call to the executive director of AOIYEO, Commandant Isaac David, in Abuja on Friday.
He said he and his team whom he described as young-oriented people decided to officially invite Commandant Isaac David, to the preparation of the youth peace summit because of the quality representation of the youth of the FCT.
“A lot of issues were raised and unveiled for better working synergy between the Niger Delta Youths and Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Abuja/ Northern Nigeria chapter,” he said.
He said as the chairman of the council, in the northern part of Nigeria, he capitalizes on the opportunity to give the executive director of AOIYEO a letter of courtesy visit on behalf of the 4th leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Abuja/northern Nigeria chapter, to have a robust familiarization meeting to work closely with him as an indigene of the FCT.
He added, “We were welcomed wholeheartedly by the people and a representative of the honorable minister of FCT and other dignitaries were present at the meeting,”.
Responding, the executive director of AOIYEO, Commandant Isaac David, said he was overwhelmed and excited with the recognition and visit of the IYC teams to him while assuring the team of his readiness to attend the summit.
