Kogi state Deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja, on Tuesday received in audience, the Director Generals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the seven Local Government Areas of Kogi West for the November 16th 2019 Gubernatorial election

Led by. Hon. Haruna Isa, the former member House of Representatives (Lokoja / Koton-Karfe) Federal Constituency and DG Lokoja LGA Campaign committee, who spoke on behalf of the group, appreciated the New Direction government for the opportunity given to them to serve the ruling party.

He commended the Governor of the State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and His Deputy for spearheading a government that put aside tribal and religious differences for the good of Kogi and its citizens.

He reiterated their readiness to continue serving in any designated role in the next four years.

Responding, the Deputy Governor appreciated them for their great work during the just concluded Gubernatorial and Senatorial elections in the region, which resulted in a massive victory in Five of the Seven LGAs in Kogi West.

He noted with satisfaction that their good work resulted in the effective replacement of the past Senator representing Kogi West, adding that it was a critical win which he attributed to the doggedness of the people and their leadership in general, saving the state from monumental embarrassment which the former Senator constituted with his careless utterances in the past which hemorrhaged the image of the state.

He described Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello as a detribalized and religiously balanced leader, whom he said will always consider those capable of taking the State to the next level first without succumbing to bias.

This, he further explained, is evident in the culmination of previous factions which have been pulled into the Party structure, a greater unity amongst citizens and residents of the State, and a religious balance for the first time in 28 years, proof of which is the Chapel built in the Government House and equal distribution of positions in the administration’s cabinet.

He encouraged them to keep faith with the government of Kogi State and its intentions to better the lives of future generations, and charged them to remain devout in serving the people whether in or out of office.
