Assistant Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, Campaign Council Management Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Olorogun Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has situated the collapsed Nigeria’s economy on the doorstep of the National government of the All Progressives Congress, APC, under the leadership of President Muhmmadu Buhari and Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The PDP campaign Spokesman blamed APC government at the centre for the economic misfortunes, insecurity, constant depreciation of the Naira, poverty, hardship, unemployment and other multifaceted problems threatening the corporate existence of Nigeria, saying that PDP government from 1999 to 2015 can be likened to paradise, compared to APC nearly eight years of national retrogression in all ramifications.
Oghenesivbe gave the clarification on Tuesday in Asaba, when he received in audience, executive members of Atiku-Okowa Ambassadors led by it’s Chairman, Mr Gabbort Wisdom Ezimeruwe.
He noted that Christmas and Sallah celebrations by Christians and Muslims in Nigeria has been made uninteresting by APC bad governance which trigged economic misfortunes; poverty, hardship and hunger, noting that jingle bells are silence few days to Christmas while Father Christmas has become so poor, to the extent that he can no longer give gifts to our children during Yuletide seasons.
Oghenesivbe who is also the Executive Assistant on Communications to the Vice Presidential Candidate of PDP, and governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, urged members of Atiku-Okowa Ambassadors to intensify their political evangelism by explaining the damage done to Nigeria and Nigerians by APC national government in the ongoing electioneering camapigns.
In the same token, you are to preach the M.O.R.E agenda of our indefatigable governorship candidate and his running mate, Sir Monday Onyeme, which promises meaningful development, opportunity for all Deltans, realistic reforms and enhanced peace and security.
Our governorship candidate said he will listen more, do more and achieve more for Delta and Deltans. He has the required experience as the longest serving speaker in the state, served as Special Adviser on Land Security in the past administration, very competent, humble, tested and trusted to adance the state from 2023 to 2031.
“It has become crystal clear that Nigerians were in paradise during PDP good governance from 1999 to 2015, compared to the APC retrogressive governance from 2015 till date and counting. Our people are in hell of hunger, poverty, insecurity, joblessness, depression and hopelessness.
“APC practically reversed the nation’s economy from good to worse in nearly eight years of President Mohmmadu Buhari administration, led by Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. APC unfortunate scorecard is here with us, a shamefull performance.
“I charge your group to do more. Go from door to door, tell the people the unforgivable sins of APC and Buhari administration.Tell them about the soultion. Tell them that PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa ,will reset and rebuild Nigeria.
“Restructuring, economic recovery, security and State Police are in the front burners. Atiku-Okowa administration will do the needful for our country and citizens ; unite us and reverse all anti people and clueless socioeconomic policies of APC national government.
“Nigerians are already partnering with PDP and Atiku-Okowa to take back our country from APC misrule. All political pressure groups must work very hard for the landslide victory of PDP, Atiku-Okowa and all candidates of the party in 2023,” Oghenesivbe said.
Earlier, the leader of the group, Ambassador Ezimeruwe Gabbort Wisdom, said their visit was to appoint Oghenesivbe as one of their patrons, and further explained that members of Atiku-Okowa Ambassadors, comprising Deltans, Hausa Fulani and non indigenes are committed Political disciples of PDP, working for the victory of the party in 2023 general elections.
