Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has urged all the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates to the National Convention, to consider only aspirants that are physically and mentally fit for the office of the President of Nigeria.

Speaking while receiving the former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, a Presidential Aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday at the Government House Lokoja, Governor Bello advised Nigerians to stop those he described as un healthy, wick and aged who are supposed to be retired from public service.

Governor Bello, who was represented by his Deputy, Edward Onoja, said the unequaled performance of his administration as the youngest has given credence to Nigerians to support him massively.

The Deputy Governor told the visiting Aspirant that Kogi State has been and remain an APC State, promising that the APC will win the 2023 election landslide.

He however announced that in Kogi State, loyalty to the leader of the party is not in doubt and therefore the delegates are awaiting directives from him before and during the Convention.

Earlier, in his speech, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, has advised the Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, to thread softly in his quest to achieve his ambition especially at his exorbirant stage of which some have earlier passed through with records of achievement.

Amaechi disclosed that he was Speaker Rivers state House of Assembly at the age of 32 years and later became Governor at the 40 for eight years.

He further stated that he was Director General of the APC and Buhari Campaign council that ushered in the present government without any input of Yahaya Bello as he was not yet known in the political arena.

The former Minister, however advised delegates from Kogi state to give him votes so that he can become next President of Nigeria at the age 58..
