….As Nasarawa Women vows to deliver Tinubu, Sule, others during the polls.
The Deputy National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim, has hailed the ruling party in Nasarawa state for giving room for women to participate in politics.
She made the commendation during an engagement with Nasarawa APC Women stakeholders, held at the New Keffi Hotel, Wednesday.
Our Correspondent Moses Yusuf reports that the engagement meeting of the deputy National women leader of APC Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim, had in attendance zonal and local government women leaders as well as electoral wards from across the state.
Speaking at the meeting, the convener, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim, said Nasarawa state is the engine room of APC which gave birth to the ruling party from the defunct Congress for Progressives change CPC, and stressed that the actors will not allow any other party to succeed in the country’s general election, thus, commended the party for giving a to two women to contest for the house of Assembly.
According her, she has toured all over the northern states conversing support for the victory of APC from the president, Governors and members of the National and state legislative arms, just as she cautioned members of the party against anti party activities but rather work hard to ensure APC emerge victorious during the polls.
On her party, the wife of the National Chairman of APC Barrister Khadijat Adamu, and Nasarawa state Women leader of the party, Mrs. Josephine Julius Abuga, advocated the need for voter education among women particularly, those in the rural areas to enable them understand the importance of exercising their franchise.
Contributing, the Nasarawa state coordinator, Nasara women for APC, Zainab Talatu Ahmed, the wife of the minister of environment, engineer Hauwa Abdullahi Ahmed, the candidate for Nasarawa central state constituency, Hajara Ibrahim Danyaro, as well as the senior aid to the minister of environment, Abdullahi Magaji, appreciated the turnout of women and expressed optimism that it is an indication of victory during next week presidential and National Assembly elections.
The APC deputy women leader used the opportunity to distribute food items and wrappers to the the women that graced the event.
