Assembly election: Nasarawa speaker wins Ugya /Umaisha constituency for third term

Speaker of Nasarawa state house of assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi of All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared winner for Ugya /Umaisha state constituency of Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, during the Saturday, house of assembly in the area.

Our correspondent learnt that the speaker, Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe is being re-elected to represent Ugya/Umaisha state constituency for the third term.

The Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) returning Officer for the election, Mr Abdullahi Hudu Ramalan, declared the result at Central pilot primary school, Umaisha, venue of the collation centre at the early hours of Sunday.

He said the APC candidate polled 3,406 votes to defeat his closest rival, Abdullahi Ibrahim Sa’ad of All People’s Democratic Party (PDP) got 2, 850 votes, while NNPP got 78 votes.
