The Attah Igala and president, Kogi State Council of Chiefs, HRM. Alaji Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa has urged the newly beaded Onu Abocho, HRH, Ajofe Idrisu Jonah Okai to build on the existing peace for rapid development of the area.
The Attah Igala gave the advice during the coronation of the Onu Abocho at Idah and emphasised the need to take the issue of security seriously as a former security expert who has served the country excellently well. And owing to his outstanding experience in the Nigeria Customs Service is needed to beef up security in his domain and beyond borders.
Paramount ruler called on the sons and daughters of the area to be supportive for the task ahead.
The Attah Igala, used the occasion to remind all traditional rulers in the state to be alive to their responsibilities as adequate security is the responsibility of all as it guarantees continued peace and development.
Thousands of Abocho sons and daughters trooped out in their numbers and in motorcade from all walks of life to Abocho to celebrate with the newly beaded chief.
HRH, Ajofe Idrisu Jonah Okai was in company of other respected traditional rulers in the state among whom were, HRH Ejeh Dekina/ Chairman, Dekina Local Government Traditional Council, Alhaji Usman Obaje,The Ogohi Onu Ayigba, HRH, Alhaji Abubakar Shuaibu Okolo , the Obicha of Ogbabede and other notable personalities across the state.
The reception for the Onu Abocho witnessed the commissioning of a bore hole initiated by the paramount ruler which was commissioned by the Ejeh Dekina, HRH, Alhaji Dr. Usman Obaje (OON).
The Ejeh Dekina in his speech appreciated God Almighty and the good people of Biraidu District for the cooperation and love, and urged the people to work with the newly beaded chief for more developments and congratulated the people for the success so far achieved.

Responding, the new Onu Abocho HRH, Ajofe Idrisu Jonah Okai thanked the good people of Biraidu for the show of love and called other contestants to the stool to close rank with him in order to ensure a continous peace, progress and development of the area.
He further appreciated the efforts of the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Kogi State ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs led by the Hon. Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Hon. Barr. Dedat Muhammed Ozigi, the Attah Igala and president, Kogi State Council of Chiefs, Alaji Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, the Ejeh Dekina, HRH Alhaji (Dr.) Usman Obaje, HRH, The Ogohi Onu Ayigba, Alhaji Abubakar Shuaibu Okolo, HRH, the Obicha of Ogbabede and other personalities that made the occasion a reality.
Highlight of the occasion was cultural display of masquerades from across the district, notable among them was the presence of Echoga Emewe Ogane among others.
