A Public commentator and analyst, Mallam Abubakar Yusuf has appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to consider former National Woman Leader, All Progressive Congress APC , Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa Umar- Eluma for appointment and placement considering her contributions to the political emancipation of women since the inception of the present administration.
He says the call became necessary having served the country and the party diligently in that capacity before the dissolution of the party’s National Working Committee NWC under Comrade Adam Oshiomole.
The analyst maintained that the former National Woman Leader has remained resolute with the party inspite of gale of defections and did not seek for any elective positions in the last exercise.
He opined that he is not unaware that President has her issue at heart, but saddled with alot of distractions in view of the burden and demands of leadership.
The commentator assured the President of the wealth of experience garnered and zeal to contribute her quota to National development and to the present administration.
“She kept participating wholeheartedly in all party programs and activities even after her exit as the National Woman Leader, showed not only her patriotic tendencies, but determination to bequeath her age long experiences.” He said.
He assured Nigeria’s President of more contributions from the former National Woman Leader, both at government and party level as Nigeria prepared towards 2023 general elections.
“The enthusiasm and zeal she brought to women participation both in government and politics in Nigeria still remain a legacy not surpassed in recent time .”
