Real Madrid are continuing to look for a destination for Gareth Bale. The Welshman’s large salary makes his departure from the club difficult and as ‘AS’ points out, the only option ‘Los Blancos’ have is selling him to the MLS.
Gareth Bale is happy at Real Madrid. The former Tottenham man has not played a competitive game since matchday 31 in La Liga, but he is not bothered about that.
The team from the Spanish capital are working on his departure, but the Welshman’s large salary makes everything complicated. Tottenham seemed willing to re-sign him, but now they have ruled that out.
‘AS’, after consulting a source close to the footballer, reports that Spurs cannot pay Bale’s wage demands. The Welshman wants 15 million euros a season.
The attacker, for now, does not seem willing to reduce his demands and the source says Real Madrid are only left with one option: sell him to the MLS.
Bale has previously expressed his desire to go there and it seems the only way Real can sell a player who is causing the club plenty of headache.
The Welshman has played just 20 matches in the current season, 14 of them starts. His performances have not attracted the attention of the top European clubs either: three goals and three assists.
