A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, Barr. Ken Immasuagbon, popularly known as Rice Man, Sunday called on well meaning Nigerians Irrespective of creeds to come to aid of the most vulnerable who are in needs towards a better society
Barr Immasuagbon gave the assurance at an event he Chaired at the Graduation Ceremony of the Centre for Edo/Delta Development Initiative, CEDDI, a philanthropic project of Chief Dr. Sam Udiyinwe Igbe (MON), the Iyase of Benin Kingdom.
The Edo born legal Icon lamented over high rate of unemployment situation in the country, calling on well-meaning individuals to help to support initiatives like CEDDI with aimed of taken the young unemployed off the streets.
While thanking the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki for providing the enabling environment for such initiatives to strive in the state.
According to him, the governor has done so much in this regard which needed support feom stakeholders in the state to pave the way for more opportunity.
He charged the elites to open their purses when called upon to assist the young ones especially on vocational skills acquisition programme.
“This private initiative I must say, is also in line with the desire of his Excellency, Governor Obaseki, in ensuring that the youths of the state are engaged in productive ventures by provision of skills and vocational centres in the state.”
“I want to encourage our graduates to take advantage of these opportunities provided by CEDDI to better your lives. After one year of training, today is the day many of you have been looking forward to and I am sure you will not be disappointed.”
He thanked the initiator, Chief Dr. Sam Igbe, and his team for their laudable work and donated the sum of one million Naira to the initiative to become a Partner and said he should be called upon whenever the need arises.
