A security source who spoke with Punch Newspaper has narrated that the police officer that killed a Lagos based lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, is one of the calmest officers at Ajiwe Division.
Recall that Bolanle was killed by a police officer identified as Drambi Vandi, while she was returning from an event on Christmas Day.
The killing of the lawyer generated much outcry from both within and outside Nigeria with many people calling on the Government to take a drastic action against police brutality.
The Lagos State Police Command have already arrested the three policemen linked with the murder. While speaking with Punch Newspaper, a security source who required anonymity narrated that everybody at Ajiwe Division knows Vandi as a calm officer.
He said he is to be promoted to the Deputy Superintendent of Police by February 2023 but unfortunately, the tragic incident happened.
“Vandi is a calm officer, He is due to be promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police by February 2023 and retire in 2024 before the unfortunate incident.” The source claimed.
