Akoko Edo APC caucus leadership has zoned the House of Representatives position to Constituency 1, Akoko Edo. This is based on the truism that constituency 2 has held it for a record 12 years.

Right now Hon Peter Akpatason, the 3 term member of the House of Representatives, and Chief Taiwo Akerele, the former Chief of Staff to Governor Godwin Obaseki are in a dilemma.

The meeting was attended by senatorial leader Anslem Agbabi, federal commissioner for national population commission, Dr Tony Aiyejina, Senator Domingo Obende, Hon Godson Hayioye former vice chairman of the council and others party stalwarts.
