Breaking: Toto – Kurudu – Nasarawa Bridge Finally Collapsed, Gridlock, Business Shut down (See Photos)

A group in Toto LG and sympathizers following the total break down of the bridge linking Toto-Nasarawa LGAs on Tuesday called on leaders from that Zone to do everything humanly possible to fix the only bridge linking the two LGAs in order to provide succour to commuters. The bridge which for many years remain a death trap despite being the only road the State Governor, Senator, House of Reps and top politicians in the State used during their electioneering campaign have finally collapsed and now impassable for commuters, farmers and markets people within and outside the area.

The falling bridge is located in the western region of the State between Toto and Nasarawa LGAs.

In a phone interview with one of the eyes witness, Mallam Abdulmutalib Adazigu who described the incident as unfortunately and devasted said the following:
“We are calling on the Federal Government, Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Nasarawa State Government and other relevant stakeholders to as a matter of National Interest save us from further dangers posed on the occupants and travellers”.

“Sallah festival is right beside us, people are coming in and out through this bridge, this situation however, will terribly deter people far from being normal. Considering the fact that businesses were almost shot down from the long term pandemic lockdown. We solicit for immediate temporary bridge as alternative in the area to provide succour”.
