College of Health Science and Technology Keffi, Inducts 92 Medical Laboratory with the charge on them to be exemplary in their conduct.

Ninety two graduands of Medical Laboratory Technician, College of Health Science and Technology, Keffi have been told to practice in line with the ethics of their profession.

The Registrar, Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria, Doctor Tosan Ehhabor, stated this at the tenth Annual induction and Oath Taking ceremony of 2022 graduating students held at the main Campus of the college along Abuja-Keffi expressway, Thursday.

The tenth Annual induction and oath taking of the 2022 Medical Laboratory technicians, college of Health Science and Technology, Keffi was part of activities of the college since inception twenty four years ago, according to the Provost, doctor Suleiman Abdullahi Muhammad, which has advanced significantly with five schools and eleven departments.

Doctor Suleiman Abdullahi Muhammad, disclosed that Governor Abdullahi Sule has shown will to take the college to greater heights has approved the integretion of the first set of Pharmacy Technicians into the state civil service, and recently granted the approval for the employment of 44 additional academic and non acedamic staff in the college system as well as the purchase of the 30 seater bus for the staff, and appealed for the upward review of over head cost that has become inadequate among other challeges.

The provost also acknowledged the cooperation of the college with various regulatory bodies in their efforts of ensuring sanity in the affairs of the college in terms of admission of students and appealed to relevant regulatory bodies for the upward review of admitting the numbers of students this will go along way to encourage and compliment government’s effort in reducing sufferings of the applicants seeking for admission.

Administering the oath to the graduands, the Registrar, Medical Laboratory council of Nigeria, Doctor Tosan Erhabor, represented by MLS Amulika Eneh, encouraged the graduating students to remain focus in their chosen carriers and adhere strictly to ethical conduct of the profession to enable them succeed.

On her part, the Head of Department, Medical Laboratory, Federal Medical Centre Keffi, Mrs. Miriam Bassey, called on the inductees to be respectful and create a harmonious working relationship with other medical staff at the hospital, this she said will promotes optimal productivity.

Some graduands interviewed, Joy Igwe and Grace Ali Aso, commended the Management of the college for the opportunity giving them to study and promised to be good stewards of the college just as the event featured the presentation of licence to the graduands to practice and the presentation of awards to the first, second and third best graduating students of Medical Laboratory Technicians.
