Coronavirus: NFF Suspends All Football Activities In Kogi.

Inview of the efforts being put in place by the federal government and other stakeholders to prevent the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spread which is now a global pandemic, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has directed that all forms of football activities in Kogi state be suspended for four weeks pending further directives.

A statement signed by the Chairman Kogi state Football Association, Umar Suleiman Isah, said, “in line with the effort to safe guard the lives of all Nigerians and sport loving fans, we regret to inform you as directed by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) that all forms of football activities in Kogi State be suspended for four (4) weeks pending further directives.

“You are advised to also adhere to all safety precaution and conduct as advised by the federal ministry of health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) such as washing your hands with soap, water and avoiding crowded places.”

According to the statement the football governing body will also be setting up a monitoring committee to ensure that all affiliates adhere strictly to the directive and appropriate sanctions will also be meted out to defaulters.
