Cross River 2023: Blackmail Against Gov Wike Won’t Guarantee Anyone PDP Guber Ticket – PDP Chieftain
A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, Ambassador Ojong Agbor, has decried the continuous media blackmail against the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, by one of those seeking to contest the 2023 governorship election in Cross River State under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He said no amount of campaign of calumny against Governor Wike will sway the support of the PDP members in Cross River State in support of the aspirant.
Ambassador Agbor, who reiterated his support for Senator Sandy Onor, said like every other member of the PDP in Nigeria, Governor Wike is free to express support for the aspiration of anyone.
He said the meeting Governor Wike held with some PDP stakeholders in Abuja a few days ago was not secret, adding that those using the meeting to orchestrate a campaign of calumny against Governor Wike are only wasting their time and resources.
They have tried to use zoning sentiments, which did not work. Now it is to blackmail Governor Wike, who is doing everything to get our party back on winning track.

Is it that those of us that support Senator Sandy’s gubernatorial ambition do not have the right to do so? Are they also saying that Governor Wike does not have the right to friendship?
However, we will keep the game descent while we continue to consolidate our grassroots support for Sandy. We will see how jumping from one media house to another to spread falsehood will help them.
