The much awaited Delta Communication workshop and capacity building Delcom 2022 have commence in Asaba, Delta State capital, with prominent People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in attendance and urged Nigerians to work towards rescued the country.

The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Delta, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, says Nigeria is at a cross road which need an urgent intervention to avoid total collapsed, and called on Nigerians to partner with the party to rescue, rebuild and redirect the nation from the path of hardship to prosperity.

The Governor was speaking on Tuesday in Asaba at the 2022 DELCOM Workshop with theme “Crisis communication strategies and management in political power transition”.

Okowa who was ably represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Festus Agas, pointed out that the PDP candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was very prepared to lead Nigeria out of its current state of hopelessness.

“I call on all eligible voters to join the PDP to rescue, rebuild and redirect Nigeria from the path of poverty, hardship, broken education, insecurity to the path of prosperous nation.

“Our Presidential candidate and by the grace of God our incoming president, Atiku Abubakar, has developed a blue print called “My Covenant With Nigerians” and essentially that document explains what he wants to do to get Nigerians out of the current hardship caused by the ruling APC.

“Going forward therefore, for you to assess a government you check the promises made to the people at the commencement of any administration and for us in Delta we have delivered on our SMART and Stronger Delta Agenda for our people.

“I want to urge you to join hands with the PDP to change the present ugly narrative for Nigerians,”Okowa stated.

He commended the Executive Assistant to the Governor, Dr Fred Oghenesivbe for his consistency in organising the annual Communications workshop, adding that it was in line with his administration’s human capital development agenda.

Also Speaking, State Chairman of the PDP, Chief Kingsley Esiso said Nigerians have never been divided like in recent times and urged the people to support the party to unify the country and bring it back to winning ways.

The Delta PDP Chairman noted that a five-point change agenda which Buhari promised to Nigerians was never implement. He said the president promised covered security, corruption, healthcare, education, economic, and job creation.
