In his quest to provide a conducive environment towards attainment of prosperity for general wellbeing of his people, the Executive Chairman Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing repair of deplorable roads leading to Ugya/Katakpa and Shege in Umaisha district, Toto LGC.

A statement issued on Monday by Yahaya Idris Toto, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media and Communications to the Executive Chairman says the affected road had been abandoned since 1999 when People’s Democratic Party (PDP) administration held swayed but however, got the attention of present All Progressives Congress, APC, led administration on which government believes on equal distribution of wealth as part of effort to guarantee stability, peace, unity and socioeconomic development, security and among others.

Hon Tashas who was accompanied by his deputy, Hon Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis, Toto LG APC Chairman, Alhaji Shuaibu Ahmed, councilor representing Ugya electoral ward, Hon Umar Mohammed (Ozi-Mama) and few other Aides from Executive Chairman’s office first stop at Ugya before proceeding to the site where the grading of 30 kilometers road was going on smoothly.

The high elated council chairman was overwhelm with the ongoing work, adding that a promise made is a must fulfill saying the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi had in his last visit to Katakpa pledged that Governor Abdullahi Sule made a promised to fix the road if elected come 18th March 2023.

He said his commitment to attract meaningful development is on course, even as he solicited for the support of the people of Toto LG especially Katakpa residents to come out en-masse to vote APC.

The Chairman made the assertion when he led high power delegation to paid royal homage to HRH. Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Amale (Ohikwura), the Ohinoyi of Katakpa, where chiefs in council, APC stalwarts and supporters from various units came out in their number to welcome and appreciate the council boss over his developmental strides in the area and beyond.

“I came here to greet you all and as well inspect ongoing repairs of roads from Ugya to Katakpa, this road has caused a lot of havoc to our farmers, businessmen/women and had over the years stagnated economic activities of this area.”

“We all know how important is Katakpa being in agriculture, also compete favorably with any part of Toto in terms of businesses and commerce, this is the reason why we are giving the area special attention so that the people can feel the impact of government of the day” Tashas explained.

Speaking earlier, HRH. Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Amale (Ohikwura), Ohinoyi of Katakpa expressed gratitude to God and Chairman of Toto LG, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas for his humility, simplicity, capacity and total commitment towards changing the narrative of governance in Toto LG.

The monarch who single out Tashas while pouring encomium on him in presence of his cards said they’ve never have it so good as they’re presently experiencing peace, unity and development in Toto LG, calling on the people of Toto LG to continue to render their unflinching support to the Chairman present APC led administration in the State.

The Ohinoyi of Katakpa who restated his commitment and that of the people of his chiefdom assured Tashas that Katakpa is sealed for the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Umaisha/Ugya state constituency, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe and incumbent Governor Abdullahi Sule following their impacts to the people of Toto LG.

He thanked the Chairman for his various intervention aims towards improving the living standard of his people, describing his ongoing council administration as one of the very best in recent time.

He recalled how Tashas initiated a workable security architecture leading cleansing of Toto LG and urged him to sustain the tempo.

While in the area, Hon. Tashas also inspected the new building of community mosque with a pledge to send his own donation in order to ease completion of the Masjid.

He also stopover at Kuwa community to interact with electorates especially the youths just as he asked them to replicate what they did during the recent February 25th, Presidential and National Assembly elections.

He promised to reward communities handsomely that deliver APC 2/2, that’s Governorship and state assembly coming up 18th March, 2023.

Some Katakpa stakeholders who were on the ground to receive the Chairman includes, SSA to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Hon. Alhaji Danladi Katakpa, the councilor representing Katakpa ward, Hon Ahmed Nura Ahmed, a community youth leader, Comrade 99 and host of others commended Nasarawa Speaker for his inclusive leadership style.
