Candidate vying for Dekina/ Biraidu constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable (Pastor) Andrew Egbunu has debunked the rumour making round the town that he has withdrawn from the race.
Pastor Egbunu in a telephone conversation with our reporter in Lokoja said the rumour were antics of mischief makers who are trying to thwart his already established image and acceptance by the people.
According to him, the Peoples Democratic Party is solidly on ground in Dekina/ Biraidu constituency emphasising that he will surely emerge victoriously in the Assembly election.
He called on his numerous supporters not to be distracted by the rumour, saying he is one hundred percent determined to contest.
His words “Everyone is entitled to his opinion. As far as I am concerned, there is no week I don’t visit wards in my constituency. Last week I was in Oganenugu and Iyale wards.
We did inauguration of party’s officials . So anyone who says we are not doing our best is entitled to his opinion.

We are in the opposition, we don’t have money like the ruling party, but we have the people. We believe in God and our teeming supporters. “We are doing our best physically and spiritually and with God on our side, we will surely be victorious.”
Pastor Egbunu assured that he would not relent untill victory is ascertained and appealed to members of the party to remain focus and committed to their dream for the Constituency, the state and the country at large.
