A divorce seeking wife, Zainab Usman, on Monday, urged a Grade 1 Area Court sitting in Gwagwalada, Abuja, to dissolve their one year old marriage with her husband, Buhari Yau, saying she is ready to refund a sum of N140,000 paid as dowry by her husband.

Mrs Usman, who reside in Paikon-Kore community in Gwagwalada area council, had a complaints letter told the court that she was no longer interested in the marriage with her estrange husband again, due to lack of love between them.

The estranged husband, Buhari Yau, of Anguwar Leleyi, who was in court, urged the court to dispense the case as demanded by his estrange wife, while he the court to ordered his wife to refund a sum of N140,000 he paid as her bride price.

Similarly, another house wife, Mrs Zainab Musa, has approached the same court and also demanded for dissolution of her 4 – year -old marriage with her estrange husband, Yusuf Zagana, over lack of love between both of them.

Mrs Yusuf, who reside in Bando village in the area, in her petition before the court, said she was no longer interested in her estrange husband and without bearing any child for him hence, the court should dissolve their marriage.

The estrange husband, Yusuf Zagana, who was in court, demanded for refund of N120,000, which he said he paid as bride price and other marriage expenses on his divorce seeking wife.

But the divorce seeking wife denied that a sum of N33,750 was expended on her as marriage expenses by her estrange husband.

The presiding judge, Isah Adamu, said divorce of such nature was based on agreement of both the husband and wife, while he gave them to negotiate among them, in which the parties later arrived at N50,000.

Adamu, later dissolved the marriage upon payment of N50,000 by the petitioner, while he ordered her to observed three months of menstrual period.

The presiding judge, Isah Adamu, after listening to both parties, therefore, dissolved the marriage upon refunding N140,000 to the respondent as khul divorce.
