Don’t Abandon Former Ruling House – Ona Of Abaji Tells New Etsu Of Wako.

The Ona of Abaji and chairman of the FCT council of traditional rulers, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, has advised the newly appointed Etsu of Wako, His Royal Highness (HRH) Abdulaziz Ibrahim Usman, not to abandon the former ruling house (Kaura-Etsu) ruling house.

Alhaji Yunusa, gave the advise when he received  the new Etsu of Wako, Abdulaziz Usman, who is from (Wunu-Aga) ruling house and his entourage led by Madaki of Wako, Alhaji Musa Suleiman, at his palace on Saturday.

He said there was the need for the new traditional ruler to carry family members of the former ruling house along in his affairs, saying doing so will bring peace and unity among not only his subjects but the entire people of Wako chiefdom.

He said despite the former ruling has ruled the Chiefdom for over 70 years, there was the need for the present ruling house not to abandon the former ruling house, even as he further advised the monarch to ensure peace and unity among his subjects.

“More importantly, you should not step on every ones toes, doing so will only complicate things for you, which we pray such will not happened. Just do justice to everyone as God will always be by your side,” he said.

Responding, the new Etsu of Wako, His Royal Highness (HRH) Abdulaziz Usman Ibrahim, who speaking through the Madaki of Wako, Alhaji Musa Suleiman, said they were at the palace to appreciate the monarch and members of FCT the traditional council for their support in ensuring that new Wako chief emerged.
