As citizens of Kogi State and Nigerians join other Christians worldwide to celebrate Easter, Vice Chairman Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State, Hon. Chief Blessing Aisha Ekele has enjoined them to embrace love and peace, which is the central message about the crucifixion and rise of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Hon. Ekele who is the Magajiya one of Uke Kingdom of Karu LG in Nasarawa State in a message on the occasion of Easter celebrations, said Christ manifested “to offer Himself as propitiation for the sins of the world. His life and messages preach love towards mankind and peace even in the innermost recesses of the earth.

“It will therefore be an aberration if we do not exhibit love and peace as espoused by Christ,” She said.

The council Vice Chairman noted that the cases of kidnappings, banditry and sundry crimes afflicting the country were an anathema to love, peace and oneness of the country.

“To the followers of Christ, the true message of Easter proclaims the greatest act of love known to man. God’s infinite love for mankind is the true message of Easter, a love that will continue into Eternity. It is agape love that should triumph over animosity, strife and disunity”

Chief Blessing Aisha Ekele assured Olamaboro populace of the council readiness to provide safety during and after the Easter celebrations, encouraging them to avail themselves of the various government programs aimed at providing succour to the people of the area.

She equally prayed for success of Governor Yahaya Bello administration and reward him with presidency position so that he will replicate the good works he has done in Kogi State.
