Edo PDP Crisis D

If the article credited to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in Vanguard Newspaper, the hatched suspension and the empty rants, is anything to go by, I fear for the health of his mind. His despotic nature in the mould of General Sani Abacha, (since they have the same dark raven colour) seem to be making him loose his mind. He is delusional, psychotic and unbridled despite the fact he carries a straight face in public as a technocrat.
Last week, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, through Mr. Kola Ologbodiyan, the spokesman of the party at the national level, called for calm and the nullity and illegality of the purported suspension of Chief Dan Orbih, the South South Vice Chairman of the party, House of Representives Member, Hon. Ogbiede-Ihama, Hon. Segun Saiki and others from the party in Edo State. In spite of this call, the governor went ahead to file some yesmen called leaders to rectify the suspensions illegally and unconstitutionally.
With this act, the governor risk being expelled from the party for acts capable of bringing chaos and disrepute to the party in the state since the National working Committee had already nullified the suspension.
The governor was said to have ranted like a poisoned dictator he is:
“…if we go for election today, we will win by 85 percent…” One will ordinarily think the sycophants around the governor would tell him he is no longer accepted by the people and that he cannot win a position of youth leader if he contest. His manic and ungrateful disposition has piqued him against the very people who voted for him last year, and there is no visible infrastructure development to show for their support.
Rather, his former followers now go to mine pictures from the net of classic infrastructures of Governor Wike he wish to contest with in the control of the South South.
“I will not leave PDP. I am the leader of PDP and by the grace of God, I will lead PDP well. Anybody that doesn’t want me to lead or want to accept my leadership will leave PDP for me.” These are exactly some of the words of the anarchic atheist who thinks of himself like one Emperor from the Central African Republic.
He will go on to tell the gasping arrayed so-called leaders that he was made the chairman of the e-registration as if it was a vehicle to perpetuate illegalities in the party, an overdose he brought in with him.
“I said come let us harmonize and the harmonization is to carry everybody along…We can’t escape from harmonization if we want to go for National Convention. ” One would wonder where he derived the idea of that harmonization veiled in capture and dominance from. Does he even read his constitution and what it empowers him and others to do? Obaseki seem to be a funny character.
Would the national feel the impact of his absence from the National Convention? What exactly does he sees himself to be in PDP he just joined? Lord Rama? Let’s tell Obaseki the truth; the convention will go on with or without his presence as all plans are in top gear to host delegates from all parts of the country.
“By this weekend, please complete the harmonization…We can’t escape from harmonization if we want to go for the National Convention. I have almost 300 to 400 political appointments i want to make…” and I am forced to add that after the completion, this joker of a governor should take the harmonized list to Abuja for induction into the hall of PDP as the first selected positions for the elected positions in the history of PDP. Yes, Governor Obaseki the Emperor must be accorded our constitution leadership role as the sole owner of PDP.
He’s a master tactician in deceitfulness, don’t be suaded he threw up the 300 to 400 potential appointments. Its a strategy to dwarf voices and further divide the party.
We understand the game of machiavellianism theory.
Why didn’t he dish out the appointments equitably across-the-board immediately after his swearing in, during our victory celebrations days ? that would have been the unification balm.
Ask Obaseki, the man with 300 to 400 jokers if he has been able to fulfill any of the promises he made in 192 wards during his campaigns. The truth is, nobody believes in him any longer hence the resistance.
There is clear indication that something is wrong with the governor, and he need to be rescued from himself before his pursuit of self destruction.
