A frontline People’s Democratic Party, PDP, House of Assembly aspirant for Akoko-Edo constituency 1, Hon Christabel Eremah Ekwu, Monday called on all Muslim faithful in Edo State and the nation at large to pray for peace and stability as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Fitr, after weeks of Ramadan fast.

Christabel, in her Sallah message, noted that Muslims should be fervent in their prayers ahead of the various elections coming up before the 2023 general elections so that they would be held peacefully and rancor-free.

The hopeful Assembly candidate singled out constituency 1 in her admonition that the Muslims must pray for all the delegates to make the right choices in their decisions concerning those who will lead them in the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats respectively.

Christabel pleaded with statutory delegates to consider her ambition as their project just as she promised never to let them down if elected.

“As I felicitate with Muslim faithful in Akoko-Edo, particularly constituency 1, I am calling for them to imbibe the spirit of love, brotherhood, unity, and peaceful coexistence with each other no matter what the religious, ethnic, or political affiliations are,” she said. “I pray this year’s celebration should bring abundant joy to each of your households now and forever.”
