Eid el-fitr: We must see security issue as collective responsibility – Pai chief tells subjects

The traditional ruler of Pai chiefdom in Kwali area council of the FCT, His Royal Highness (HRH), Alhaji Abubakar Sani Pai, has called on his subjects to see security issue as a collective responsibility.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after he joined Muslims to observed two Raka’at prayers to mark the Eid -el-fitr at Eid prayer ground in Pai on Friday, Alhaji Pai noted peace and development can only be achieved when lives and property and individuals are secured.
“And we can’t achieve it until we come together including stakeholders and community leaders to join hands together with our relevant security agents to tackle issue of insecurity bedeviling our society,” he said.
Alhaji Pai, who spoke through the district head of Pai chiefdom, Alhaji Hussaini Halilu Pai, stressed on the need for his subjects to live in peace and harmony with each other irrespective of tribe, ethnic or religious affiliations.
The monarch, however, thanked almighty Allah for spearing their lives to witness the Eid -el-fitr after Ramadan fasting, while also appreciating Allah for his abundundant blessings and rewards for Ibadah they have performed to the end of the Ramadan.
‘We must also be our brothers keepers as the tenets of Ramadan has actually told us,” he added.

He further advised his subjects to take advantage of the year’s rainy season to participate fully in farming so that they can sustained themselves and also sell to other consumers in the market.
Alhaji Pai, called on farmers to and herders to ensure they adopt amicable resolution of any disputes that may arise between them especially whenever it involves destruction of crops.
