To assuage the pains of hardship being faced by the rural dwellers and inspire them to observe this year’s Eid-El-Fitri Festival after the successful conclusion of the weeks-long Ramadan Fast unhindered, Kogi State Auditor General, Alhaji Yusuf Okala, has distributed Food items/ cash Worth Millions of naira to Muslim faithful and All Progressives Congress Supporters for the celebration of Sallah.
Alhaji Okala who performed the presentation of the Food Stuff at his ancestral country home, Ajiolo Ajikpome in the Dekina local government area, said the gesture is geared toward cushioning the suffering of the people and making them celebrate this year’s Eid El-Fitri festival.
He disclosed that he has never hesitated to extend succor to the citizens especially the less fortunate people and party faithful to show he is not unaware that their part and parcel of the government.
His words:my decision to provide food items and cash donations to the less privileged members of the communities, Party supporters as well as adherents of both Muslim and Christian faith is to augment the efforts of his Excellency and principal Kogi state executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello”s efforts to minimize the suffering, poverty and hardship face by our people, Okala said’.
The Chairman of Dekina local Council of Ulama, Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar, and Alhaji Suleiman Dansoho, the Chief Imam of Abocho expressed their gratitude to Alhaji Yakubu Okala for always standing firm in providing charity to the people, especially during the festive season.
The clerics commended state executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for appointing one of their illustrious sons Yakubu Okala to serve as the State Auditor General asserting that he is a worthy son who is doing well for Dekina local citizens.
They prayed for Allah’s continue n blessings and mercies on the Governor and his aide, Yusuf Okala for more wisdom, knowledge, sound health, and renewed strength in the herculean task of rebuilding the State.
The Chairman of All Progressives Congress for Dekina local government area, Isaiak Abu, hon. Akur Abdullahi Odu ward 1, Abu Alaji Odu ward 2, and Ali Ataboh APC forum chairman of the twelve wards and APC chairman for Iyale ward, Alhaji Shagari Adamu aka Ogiji received their Sallah package for onward delivery to the party’s faithful commended Okala for his kind gesture.
They described the State Auditor General as a worthy son of Dekina local government and a sincere political figure who is always there meeting the yearnings and expectations of the party’s faithful as well as citizens of the area.
Our correspondent who was at the scene of the distribution of the Sallah gifts reports that Party,’s chairmen from Okura, Emewe, Oganeigu, Ogbabede, Egume, Ojikpadala wards were spotted collecting their Sallah packages for their members.
